There are a few minor issues when running NotePad+ on Windows 98. The
reason is that NotePad+ was developed on Windows 95 and some operating
system functions were changed in Windows 98. Create Shortcut (under the File menu) and specifying an initial Open directory (in Preferences/Dialogs) are broken. The Create Shortcut function is really broken, the specifying of an initial Open directory can be worked around by typing or pasting the name of the directory directly in this field. The About box says NotePad+ is running under Windows 95, instead of Windows 98. It says there's only 0% system resources, but this is obviously an esthetical problem. It's harmless. Since I don't have the 1.11 source (see 'Future Development'), there is no quick fix and you'll have to live with these (minor) incompatibilities.
